Hello, November! (And Yes, I Called the Rain)

Let's start with the important news: I was right about the rain.

In my weekend weather Reel, I said we'd get some rain this weekend. And then... it rained. I'm not saying I should quit real estate and become a weather girl. I'm just saying if the local news needs someone who can point at a map and bring pretzels, I'm available. (Don't worry. I'm keeping my day job. I love it too much.)

Watch the forecast Reel:

November is a fresh-start month

The heat is finally gone. Mornings are cool, the desert smells amazing after the rain, and people start thinking about next year. If owning your first home is on that list, November is a great time to get ready, calmly and without pressure.

A simple November game plan for first-time buyers

  1. Talk to a lender first. Before you fall in love with a house, find out what feels comfortable for you. For anything about payments or loan programs, please check with a lender. I'm happy to introduce you to Dusti.
  2. Write your "must-have" list. Bedrooms, commute, yard for the dog, a kitchen with room for the Thanksgiving pies. Keep it short and honest.
  3. Tour on a cool day. Arizona fall and winter weather is perfect for walking neighborhoods in Casa Grande, Maricopa, San Tan Valley, Mesa, and Gilbert.
  4. Fewer buyers, more breathing room. Things often slow a little around the holidays, which can mean less competition and more time to decide.
  5. Bring your own Realtor, even for new builds. It costs you nothing extra to have someone on your side.

My forecast for you

Since I'm on a streak, here's one more prediction: if you start planning now, you'll feel a lot more confident come spring. That one I'd bet on.
