Honey-Do-List For 2024

There is never a shortage of things to do around the house, is there? Especially as we begin a new year, it can seem like an overwhelming list of chores. But chill out this January, because completing just a few items per month can help keep your home in magnificent condition all year-round! Here are some handy home tips to make your home warmer and more inviting this month. You just have to start your honey-do-list for 2024!

To start off your honey-do-list, get a fresh start this year by clearing out the clutter in your closet! Work through one drawer, shelf or hanging rack at a time, pulling out what you don’t plan to wear anymore. If you’re working on a child’s closet, be sure to neatly fold their clothes and place them in a bin labeled with the size of the items inside. 

Start 2024 off with a bang and remove everything from the pantry. Toss out stale and expired foods and wipe down shelves before putting everything back. Clean out the fridge and freezer and clear your countertops. Let the refreshed space motivate you to stick with your health resolutions for this new year. This is a huge item to mark off of your honey-do-list.

Who wants to come into 2024 with dull and squeaky doorknobs and hinges? So, shine and tighten those doorknobs and hinges! Tighten any loose cabinet pulls and nobs as well. To clean metal hardware, wash with soapy water then shine with a microfiber cloth dipped in vinegar or lemon juice. Brass polish will remove tarnish from solid brass hardware. Not sure if it’s brass? If a magnet sticks to it, it’s most likely metal, not solid brass.
